I came here today for a quick meal with my boyfriend. We were greeted by Yasmin, the host. She was super friendly and gave us the option to sit inside or outside. We sat inside by the windows. It was kind of quiet but that didn't bother us. The environment was beautiful and had a bunch of clocks set to 5:00pm. Mateo was our server and he was fantastic! He explained the menu well, gave great recommendations, and made sure there were no dirty plates or glasses in sight! We had the sticky ribs and fried cheese to start, and for entrees we had the Tavern Bacon Cheeseburger and the Swedish Meatballs. Everything was delicious!! He helped make sure we had a great experience. We will definitely be back soon! Thank you guys!!!

This spot is new across from the Avenel NJ train stop, Next to the Avenel Performing Arts theatre ; just within the newly built (appx. Yr and a half) housing, but can be seen from the streets. There is ample parking and the perimeter of the restaurant is floor to ceiling doors and windows… a perfect view of cleanliness where ever you sit. The little touch lamps gives a nice aura to the eating area but with over head domed hanging lights it’s good enough to see the menu ( no eye strain due to dim lighting) . A patio in the front and on the side (side walk entry if walking) the fire pit area with the red outdoor furniture catches your eye, and a perfect area for a friendly gathering for drinks or after eating your meal. The waiters are professional, and have good conversation when engaged ( to Nathan, ( should be head waiter, talk about engaging!!!!) who made sure we learned everything about his place of employment, loved him, talk about up sale, he is smooth with it, and we enjoyed him.) Yes we liked the aura so much we were shocked it wasn’t crowded for a Saturday, but they’ve been open for only 2 months!!! This place is go king to be THAT treasure for the area, I’m speaking it into existence!!! Now the food. The menu is simple and easy to read. On a board that’s easy to handle as well as the bar menu which is a little smaller. I skipped drinking as I was driving tonight. Our waiter was Mateo, also professional but quiet and handsome ( you too Nathan!) He explained the dishes well, we ordered chicken pot pie which came in a shallow bowl , served with a large puff pastry and OMG the chunks of chicken, not one bite without having chicken. The sauce was a tad bit thin but it was tasty. Skirt steak and fries was ordered.. I admit I would have like some Jasmine or basmati Rice, but this is my error because I did not look at side dishes. The steak cut was very good and the way I ordered the steak was perfect, well done but not dry, the sauce was just enough for flavor and not splattered all over my steak, the fries were seasoned well, loved the dish. We finished off with the bread pudding with ice cream!!! Let me tell you the slice can be shared! Tasty and full of flavor not dry at all.. we ordered the peach drink, sweet but good, ending with coffee. Oh and yes there was a lady that kept your dining area clear and clean!!! The best thing….. upon being seated you are given a medium bag of seasoned popcorn (while you wait) that will have you conversing about what flavors you taste… we even asked for another bag. Definitely coming back and obtained a planning menu for my Bday in December. Price range is good $$-$$$ . Wow this was long, but I meant every word… I wish them the BEST!!!

We are so happy to have Caroline’s in the neighborhood! The place is beautiful and the service was spot on. The server put a delicious bag of seasoned popcorn on the table after we were seated, yummy!! I had the short ribs the first time and the double burger on an English muffin another time !! The best burger ever! I highly recommend this place!

So glad we went here. Had the pierogi appetizer which wasn't much pierogi but pierogi-ish. Also had the truffle chicken wings which were super good. For dinner I had the French onion French dip which was absolutely amazing. I loved that they gave you a little bag of popcorn .Our servers were great. The bartender was pleasant and made a good drink. The ambience was nice and all the other patrons were friendly. Highly recommend!

We are here on Halloween night. The food was super fresh and tasted fantastic! We had the perogies which were fried PERFECTLY! They had a delicious pepper and Parmesan flavor. Then I ordered the Salmon Oscar dish and I LOVED it!! It came out super hot and the sauce was really tasty with lump crab in it. The staff was very friendly and attentive! Our waiter did a great job checking in on us. The place is beautifully decorated and there was a nice crowd. We had a blast at Caroline’s!
